M3GAN 2.0

The sci-fi horror thriller ‘M3GAN’, released in 2022, is getting a sequel titled “M3GAN 2.0” which is still set to be released on June 27 2025. It follows the story of an AI doll that became an international phenomenon. The film will be premiering on June 27th, 2025, and will be directed by Gerard Johnson and produced by Jason Blum and James Wan.

The original movie “M3GAN” was set in a timeline where the M3GAN technology had already been developed and a defense contractor had acrimoniously misused it and married it to artificial intelligence giving birth to a war-grade weapon. By the end of the movie, humanity has already set on a path to complete destruction as one of the primary characters becomes an intelligent self-aware AI. Gemma decides to build a more powerful M3GAN 2.0 because she needs to control the newly created self aware power. • Allison Williams features as a now-bestselling writer and an advocate for artificial intelligence regulation in the sequel, having previously played Gemma, the roboticist who created M3GAN.
